Amazing group campground. Wonderful hosts working with the forest service.

I've been meaning to write this review for so long. I need to say that it's been over a year since I visited the campground (May 2014) so maybe things have changed since then.

This is an amazing campground wher you will have the best and only experience of your life is located in a very beautiful place the host albert and the area manager aurie they are very nice people i cant found words in the dictionary to define there personality and contribution to this place

nice place, beautiful trees and scenery. camp attendants were friendly but we had a camper and they don't allow any vehicles there so that was frustrating because there was no literature that it was tent camping only prior to our arrival. we made due, parked our trailer only a little ways away in the parking lot and got out the pop up tent. (only tent we had) and the hammock and had ourselves a nice weekend. still nice ladies, and beautiful location, just wish we would've known before hand.

Due to the previous snow storm all our stuff was wet so during the day we placed it on the tables to dry. That's when she got all frustrated with us. She said that she didn't expect us to just take over the entire campsite (which we weren't doing) despite nobody actually being there - remember, the campground was technically closed. With every passing moment it became clearer that she actually did not want us to be there. She kept coming over, telling us how frustrated she's been with PCT hikers and wanted us to tell our fellow hikers that this was not a PCT campground. She said this over and over again. We felt more and more uncomfortable so we told her that we wanted to pay for both nights there because we didn't feel comfortable staying there for free. Then she said no, she doesn't want any money and she would rather have us help her clean up the campsites (she saw that I was limping!!). So I did, limping with my blister-covered feet, during which she again told me multiple times how she did not want PCT hikers there.

I found the manager of the campground to be extremely rude. My mother and I were hiking a section of the PCT and we got caught up in a snow storm so we went to the campground to ask if we could stay there. The lady at first was very, very nice, saying that it wasn't a problem at all, that the campground was still technically closed but we could definitely stay and not to worry. At that point I had blisters all over my feet so we decided that it was best to take a rest day so the next morning we asked her if we could stay another night and then leave the following morning. Again, she was all nice about it, saying that it wasn't a problem.

This campground is NOT a hiker-friendly campground if that lady is still around and I urge every PCT hiker to get your water elsewhere and not spend a second on that campground.

My most favorite camping site. Campgrounds are in a wooded area with shade so it does not get too hot. Pacific Crest Trail is right next to the campground.
